So the “special invitation” I received to attend the Verizon Wireless Private Sale this coming week that I mentioned in a previous post is misleading!!! In fact, I would even consider it false advertising. But I will let you, the readers of my blog, be the judge. Take a look at the invitation:

See the Blackberry Storm on the front? See it on the inside with the rest of the phones? Now wouldn’t you think from the text in the invitation and the images of the BB Storm everywhere that I could in fact get my hands on one before it’s available to the public? That’s what I thought. But it’s not true. I confirmed this both in-person with a VW rep at Circuit City, the location that the invitation tells me to bring my “all-access pass to,” and a VW rep on the phone. Apparently the other cell phones that are printed in the invite are the ones that are available to me all week at a special price. The BB Storm won’t be available until Friday, when it goes on sale to the rest of the world. So much for a “private sale.”
